A community dozens of centuries old. The practice of Jewish rituals in the Himalayas. Decedents of the Lost Tribes of Israel. Orah’s family are from the Bnei Menashe. The fall-out from immigration can affect any community.
The aliya (immigration to Israel) of the Bnei Menashe resulted in many successes and some tragic failures. Orah came to Girls Town Jerusalem as a young teen with two others from their hometown in India.
